description Take the Virtual Tour! - MAX V. SHAUL STATE PARK Max V. Shaul State Park is a small, quiet camping area with 30 wooded tent and trailer sites. The park has shady picnic grounds, as well as playing fields. There is a nature and hiking trail, fishing is allowed in Panther and Schoharie Creeks. A car top boat/fishing access trail to the Schoharie Creek was established in 2011. The park offers a group camping area as well. The park's proximity to Mine Kill State Park opens many more recreational opportunities to campers. Mine Kill offers an Olympic size pool, wading pool and a diving pool at no additional cost to campers with a valid camping permit. Hiking trails, boating (by permit) and Mine Kill Falls overlook are also available to campers.

importantInformation Seasonal Camping at Max V. Shaul. Take advantage of an extended camping! Call Park for more details. To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made. Only 2 pets per site are permitted. Current rabies certificate required. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6ft at all times. Permits are required for alcohol use at the park. Fires must be attended at all times. Propane gas is available in Cobleskill. Quiet time is from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is a caretaker on call 24 hours. Group Camping Area: The group camping area is a wooded area with a water spigot, fire ring and picnic tables. Maximum capacity is 35 people and 8 cars. $2/camper per night (any night), with a minimum fee of $20. Please contact the park for more info or to reserve. Peak season: During peak season, a camping party and their equipment may occupy a site for a maximum of 14 continuous days. After which, the camping party and equipment must leave the site and facility for 2 days before registering again for another site.
